Computer Main Components
Considering
this first week of this semester 3, Mr. Azam introduce to us about computers,
the internet and even hardware. Most of what we learn in this subject matter
that we have learned in IT subjects.
This week, we were taught about
computers. Many people know computers, but they do not know which computers are electronic devices which can receive input,
perform process and also provide output. Computer
is a programmable machine that carries out
what it has been instructed to do. We
are also taught about computer operations and
information Processing Cycle. In addition, computer components are divided
into two type of hardware and software. Computer also have characteristics like speed, storage and so on.
After that, we taught about numbers
systems which used in computer. Because computer
only represent data. They use bit and byte. There are four types of numbers systems that can use in
computer. Decimal number systems (
0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9), Binary
number systems ( only 1 and 0 ) , Octal
number systems ( 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7 ) and Hexadecimal number systems ( 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,A,B,C,D and E )
At first I was a bit difficult for me to understand, but as I ever want to learn how to calculate the decimal number at the primary school so it becomes quite easy. But the number of other systems quite difficult for me to understand. So, I really do not understand about the number of other systems but not a problem for me.
